Culpeper County Landfill Price Increase Letter
Due to Culpeper County increasing their fees for disposal, we are having to increase our prices to offset the price adjustment. This increase will take effect on our December 2023 invoice. Please see the letter from Culpeper County Government below for your reference.

TO: Culpeper County Transfer Station Customers
RE: Tipping Fee Increase effective December 1, 2023
The County contract to operate the Solid Waste Transfer including hauling
and disposal expired in November 2023. The County advertised a Request
for Proposals to operate the Transfer Station and received two proposals.
The contract was awarded to Republic Services. The new contract price is
significantly higher than the previous contract due to inflation and increases
in equipment and labor expenses.
The Board of Supervisors approved an increase in solid waste disposal
tipping fees from $57.75 per ton to $67.50 per ton to offset a portion of the
increased operating expenses. The new tipping fees go into effect December
1, 2023.

operations or the fee increase.
